FocusAndScope

Meujile: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra focuses on the comprehensive dissemination of original research and theoretical contributions within the multifaceted domains of language education, linguistics, and literary studies, with a primary emphasis on the Indonesian context. The journal’s scope encompasses the entire spectrum of language pedagogy at all educational levels from primary to higher education including instructional design, curriculum development, innovative teaching methodologies, and the integration of educational technology in both first (L1) and second language (L2) acquisition, as well as Indonesian for Foreign Speakers (BIPA). In the realm of linguistics, the journal welcomes empirical studies in micro-linguistics, such as phonology, morphology, syntax, and semantics, alongside macro-linguistic inquiries including sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, pragmatics, and critical discourse analysis, specifically focusing on the enhancement of the four core language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Furthermore, the journal explores the depth of literary studies through the lenses of historical analysis, contemporary literary criticism, comparative literature, and the sociology of literature, while also addressing intermedial transformations such as ecranization and the evolution of literary theory. By bridging the gap between theoretical frameworks and practical educational applications, Meujile serves as a rigorous intellectual forum for advancing literacy, language proficiency, and cultural understanding on a global scale.
