This study investigates the effect of the show-and-tell method on students’ English speaking skills at SMK Swasta Muzammil Al-Aziziyah. The research employed a quantitative approach using a one-group pretest–posttest experimental design. The population consisted of 50 tenth-grade students, from which 25 students were selected as the research sample. Data were collected through speaking performance tests administered before and after the implementation of the show-and-tell method. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics to examine changes in students’ speaking performance. The findings reveal a significant improvement in students’ speaking skills after the treatment. The mean score increased from 46.80 in the pretest to 78.28 in the posttest, indicating substantial progress in students’ speaking ability. In addition, 84% of the students achieved scores above the Minimum Mastery Criterion (KKM) of 75. The standard deviation decreased from 6.14 to 5.41, suggesting greater consistency in students’ learning outcomes. Improvements were also observed in the mode and median scores, which increased from 50 to 85 and from 50 to 80, respectively. These results indicate that the show-and-tell method is an effective instructional strategy for enhancing students’ English speaking skills by promoting active participation, confidence, and meaningful oral communication in the classroom.
