Author Guidelines

Manuscripts submitted to Meujile: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra must be prepared in strict accordance with the journal’s formatting template and submission requirements. Authors are expected to submit manuscripts that demonstrate clarity, coherence, and academic integrity. Submissions may be written in Indonesian or English and must be uploaded through the journal’s official online submission platform.

These guidelines function as the principal reference for authors intending to publish in Meujile: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra. Each submission must include two abstracts, one in English and one in Indonesian. To ensure transparency, methodological soundness, and reproducibility, authors are strongly advised to follow recognized international reporting standards appropriate to the study design. The same standards are also employed by editors and reviewers during the evaluation process. Supplementary materials and required documents must be submitted as Supplementary Files.

Where applicable, authors are encouraged to adhere to the following reporting frameworks:

  • CONSORT for randomized controlled trials
  • TREND for non-randomized intervention studies
  • PRISMA for systematic reviews and meta-analyses
  • CARE for case reports
  • STROBE for observational research
  • STREGA for genetic association studies
  • SRQR for qualitative research
  • STARD for diagnostic accuracy studies
  • ARRIVE for animal-based experimental studies

Structure and Formatting of Manuscripts

Title

The manuscript title must be presented in both Indonesian and English.

  • The Indonesian title should be formatted in Cambria, 15-point fontboldleft-aligned, and written in sentence case, except for proper nouns and abbreviations.
  • The English title should be formatted in Cambria, 15-point fontitalicleft-aligned, and written in sentence case.

Titles should be precise, informative, and clearly reflect the scope and focus of the study.

Authors and Institutional Affiliations

There is no restriction on the number of contributing authors. However, one author must be designated as the corresponding author, and full institutional affiliations for all authors must be clearly stated.

  • Author names must appear without academic or professional titles, formatted in Cambria, 13-point font, and left-aligned.
  • Institutional affiliations should be marked using numeric superscripts and written in Cambria, 8-point font, left-aligned.
  • Each affiliation must include the department or field, institution, city, country, and an active e-mail address.

As part of the submission process, authors are required to provide:

  • A Publication Ethics Statement
  • A Copyright Transfer Statement
  • A Cover Letter

All documents must be uploaded in the Supplementary Files section of the submission system.

Abstract

Each manuscript must include two structured abstracts, one in English and one in Indonesian.

  • The English abstract should follow the structure: Introduction, Objective, Method, Results, Conclusion.
  • The Indonesian abstract should follow the structure: Latar Belakang, Tujuan, Metode, Hasil, Simpulan.

Abstract formatting requirements:

  • Times New Roman, 10-point font, italic
  • Maximum length of 200 words
  • No citations or references
  • Decimal values must use commas rather than periods (e.g., p = 0,016)

Each abstract must conclude with up to five keywords, arranged alphabetically and written in sentence case.
